Development Path

Hi all,

This is a quick post to indicate what I would like to get done after the IGMC Jam is complete. As more reviews come in, this list will have items added to it. Unfortunately, for those that dislike the premise, there isn't much that can be done with this title to address that. The best I can do is to make what this game is as good as it can be. With that out of the way, I do want this to be an entertaining title. The goal is to keep it light-hearted and fun. Without further ado, the lists...

Round 1:

  • Fix weather in places it shouldn't be (raining in a tent, oops!)
  • Passable Tiles (there are some that are broken, others that need tweaking)
  • Player Notification about encounters (random vs. on-map, steps = random, no followers = on map)
  • Memory/Stability Issues (Meaning I have to put this title on a weaker computer to test it)
  • Resting should automatically save the player's game.
  • Changing the town's music.

Round 2:

  • Fix some of the text to move emotions to icons/graphics
  • A bit more dialogue to further show differences in the cat-girls and build a little personality for the main character
  • Tighten up the progression a bit
  • More gags/jokes
  • Take in more feedback

Round 3:

  • Actually work in the service by the maids (serving an omelette with a ketchup drawing for customers, etc)
  • Work in a time system to allow the player to see those services
  • Build this world's "villains" (there is a plan, just not implemented yet)
  • Take in more feedback

In closing, there is a lot of work to get done to turn this into a real game. Including multiple endings,  one each for the "demon" part and the "save the cafe" part. I'm a bit hesitant to do any romance based endings, as this is supposed to be a proper harem-manga/anime style;. Therefore, any attempt to mimic the genre properly would require that any romance should be hinted at, but not resolved.

In the words of the immortal Stan Lee, "Excelsior!"
